Ownership

Originally founded as a single store in 1966 and acquired by the Jim Pattison Group on Sept 30, 1995. A Jim Pattison owned-and-operated retailer comprising a mix of corporate and franchise/independent stores across BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan (the 2021 media release cited 63 corporate and franchise independent stores). Its operating company also runs the Choices Markets, Nature's Fare Markets, Nesters Market and Meinhardt Fine Foods banners, plus Associated Grocers / Van-Whole Produce wholesale. [1][2]
