AG Foods (tagline 'A group of independent grocers,' 'proudly Canadian & Independent') is a retail banner of locally owned and operated independent grocery stores supplied by Associated Grocers, the leading wholesale grocery distributor in Western Canada. AG Foods stores operate in more than 60 communities across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan (roughly 15 locations in BC, in small towns such as Ashcroft, Barriere, Chase, Christina Lake, Clearwater, Enderby, Fort St. James, Fruitvale, Invermere, Kimberley and Logan Lake). Associated Grocers 'was purchased in 1989 by the Jim Pattison Group of Companies and is today a division of Pattison Food Group Ltd.' The individual AG Foods stores are independently owned by local grocers (banner/affiliation arrangement) while the AG Foods banner and Associated Grocers wholesale operation sit within Pattison Food Group.
