Iqbal Foods is a privately held halal and international grocery chain in the Greater Toronto Area, named for its founder and CEO Iqbal Malek, who arrived in Canada in 1971. The company has been established for over three decades, employs more than 400 people, and operates supermarkets and distribution centres with locations including Thorncliffe Park, North York, Scarborough, Mississauga, Brampton and Ajax. The business is independently owned and not affiliated with any larger grocery corporation. [1]
