Colemans is the supermarket banner of the Coleman Group of Companies, a family-owned Newfoundland and Labrador enterprise established in Corner Brook in 1934 by Arthur James and Maggie Coleman. The group operates a dozen Colemans food stores plus furniture and clothing outlets and a wholesale food division, and is described as the largest fully integrated independent wholesale/retail food operation in Atlantic Canada. Colemans is a member of the United Grocers Inc. (UGI) buying group. [1][2]
