Calgary Co-op is a member-owned retail cooperative based in Calgary, Alberta, and one of the largest retail co-operatives in North America. In November 2019 it acquired Community Natural Foods, a Calgary natural and organic grocer founded in 1977 by the Wilkes family, and operates it as a wholly owned subsidiary. Calgary Co-op left the Federated Co-operatives grocery supply system around 2019-2020. [1][2]
